Claire's House Hospice
Claire's House care for children 0 - 18 years with life threatening or life limiting conditions and their families from Merseyside, Cheshire, North Wales and the Isle of Man. Our home from home environment allows children and their families to enjoy some special time together, allowing them to play, develop and grow amid surroundings that are safe, happy and supportive. A Paediatric Home Based Palliative care service for Wirral. All of our children have complex medical needs which are met by an experienced team of registered sick children's nurses, nursery nurses, care assistants, physiotherapist, family support worker, play specialist and music therapist. Medical cover is provided by four dedicated GPs who visit our children daily and whenever they are needed day or night with access to a specialist paediatric palliative care team. They work in collaboration with all the multi-agency teams across our area. The needs of the child and their family are central to all decision making. Children's hospices are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life, providing specialist respite, palliative, terminal and bereavement care. |
